On the 25th of November 1998, Abu Dhabi Distribution Company (ADDC) was established in accordance with the arraying of the Water and Electricity Sector in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi.
The company’s board of directors is presided by H.E. Shaikh Dhiyab bin Zayed Al – Nahyan, Chairman of Abu Dhabi Water Electricity Authority (ADWEA).
On the 1st of January, 1999, ADDC commenced its operation, which involves providing services distributing Water and Electricity to the consumers in the district of Abu Dhabi and the Western Region.
ADDC is compromised of several departments and divisions, which all are coherently connected and coordinately functioning using the best equipment and most updated technological methods available to provide to the consumer the best contingent services.
Objectives
In accordance with article NO. 42 of law NO. 2 of 1998, the company’s functional responsibility is to resume and implement the following duties:
Development, maintenance, and operation of safe, secured, and cost-effective water and electricity distribution systems.
Provision of contractual offers for corporate and natural characters related to water and electricity connections.
Establish, develop and amend policies followed in distributing water and electricity and procedures governing cost effective distribution services.
Offering and providing the best services to consumers through customer service orientation and utilization of best billing payment alternatives.
Operate and develop distribution networks, starting from production sources to consumers.
Executing extension and augmentation projects to satisfy the mounting residential, agricultural and industrial demand for water and electricity Give special care to employees within the company by providing them with needed trainings and courses. Ensure the availability of most advanced equipments and devices which will assist in accomplishing the desired outcome of the jobs.
